Abstract

In the current environment of global competition, the survival of an organization depends on its ability to generate value added to its customers and suppliers, which is the basis of its competitiveness and market positioning. Human resources constitute an intangible asset that is highly relevant to the success of any organization and a source of competitive advantage, given that their organizational culture and socialization allow them to innovate, adapt to change and support increased productivity in the midst of globalization. Theories of human behavior have been making their way into business processes, with job satisfaction, motivation, people’s quality of life, work environment, organizational commitment and well-being at work becoming increasingly important. This is why, throughout history, the meaning of leadership has been changing in accordance with changes in human development. Leadership is a complex process in which multitudes of elements intervene, defined as a set of management or directive skills that an individual has to influence the way of being of people or a certain group of people. This is the reason an entrepreneurial leader with emotional intelligence propels his followers towards success and helps them achieve their goals. In conclusion, the potential of organizational culture and its socialization are recognized as fundamental aspects for companies to achieve their objectives, respond agilely to changing environmental circumstances and achieve competitive success. Likewise, basic psychological needs are essential for the well-being and the promotion of intrinsic motivation of human beings. One of the failures in entrepreneurship is to come to believe that, if you are a good entrepreneur, you can also be a good manager, which is not always true, since before focusing on a company, the entrepreneur must focus on himself and in acquiring the skills that will lead to personal and business growth.
